I was at the track one day and was thinking about doing an interview with some people when It hit me…..”Why not do one with a local pro?”. Just so happened I was at Central Village and there happened to be tons of them. (Week before Mx338 national). Found the pro I needed and his name was Paul Lamb. A 27 year old rider, that has been racing for 14 years on a Kawasaki…or is he?
So I now give you the interview;

Q. What got you into racing motocross?

Paul: I don’t really know? My uncle got me into it, nothing to crazy he would go trail riding. One day my mother picked up a sign up sheet, had no idea what I was doing at first.

Q. When your at an AMA National Motocross race how does It feel to be with the top racers in the country?

Paul: For me weather its I’m looking at a national or local race, I don’t really care whose around me cuz I’m in my focus. It’s awesome known’ I got my pro licence. Its sick man. In 01 when Stewart was on a Pro Circuit, I accualy hole-shotted him at KRoC (Kawasaki Race of Champions). I stayed in front, he got by me and did his thing. And for me to be able to race pro is 1-100. For me its all about preparing, sometimes I’m nervous sometimes I’m not. I’m pretty fast on a bike.

Q. Now that the 2011 season is over, what do you have planned for the 2012 SX/MX season?

Paul: I’m thinking about SX. I want to race Daytona. I own my own business so I kinda run my own show. I might go down for 2-3 weeks. I’m not riding 2012 KTM, not too many people know about that. I’m going to try to win some local Nationals both Canadian and AMA nationals. But if your not ready for it its kinda risky.

Q. What is your goals or mindset for the end of your career in the future?

Paul: Ummm I really want to do Southwick, Unidilla, and Budds Creek. I can ride a moto sprinting. It all depends on the track. Gonna do some local nationals with N.E.S.C championship, and do some local AMA races.

Q. For the kids/riders who look up to you, what advise do you have?

Paul: Just race 1 race at a time, and never give up. Never give up man, and just give 110%. People I grew up with left the sport. Now its just Me, Chad C., and Jacob M. Everyone else just sorta went there own way.
